“Ceilidh I hear you say, I thought I would give you a little bit of information” says Teddy Isba.
In modern usage, a céilidh or ceilidh /ˈkeɪli/ is a traditional Gaelic social gathering, which usually involves playing Gaelic folk music and dancing.
Everyone can take part, the dances are easy , lively and will always lead to people having fun.
Don’t be nervous, there is nothing to worry about, a Ceilidh is a unique combination of traditional tunes and modern rhythm.
Get your dancing shoes on and book yourselves in for a “right guid evening” with traditional live Scottish music and dancing at the Jam House 7.30pm – 12midnight, music by the fabulous Robert Fish Band. I am practising my Dashing White Sergeant steps, I’ll see you there.
